Privacy and texting terms
We collect only what is needed to run the petition, document the burden of camera fines and communicate with people who ask to hear from us.
What we collect
Petition signers may provide a name, email address, ZIP code, ticket experience and communication preferences. A mobile number is collected only when a signer separately requests text updates.
How we use it
We use this information to maintain the petition, understand the geographic and financial effects of camera fines, provide requested campaign updates and contact people about stories they volunteer. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Stories
We will not publish a signer's name, photograph or identifying details without further permission. When a signer permits anonymous quotation, we may remove identifying details and quote the substance of the account.
Text messages
People who check the text-message box and provide a mobile number agree to receive recurring Camera Tax Project campaign updates and action alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of signing the petition, donating or receiving information from the project.
Reply STOP to end text messages. Reply HELP for help. We will record and honor opt-out requests. Text-message permission applies only to the Camera Tax Project and is not transferred to another campaign or organization.
People who request campaign updates may unsubscribe from future email at any time. Transactional responses to a direct request may still be sent when necessary.
Access and deletion
To correct or delete information you submitted, email jelani.house@housestrategiesgroup.com. Include the email address or mobile number used on the form so the record can be located.
